UK Grenadier Guard Standard

Postby Andyorsue » 27 Jul 2015 18:34

Hi. I am unsuccessfully looking to purchase a Grenadier Guards Standard for my partner, an ex Grenadier Guard. Please can anyone steer me in the right direction? Thanks to anyone that can help :)

Do you mean the regimental colour? I think this kind of flag is not commonly sold, because its usage is restricted to military. I think a good solution would be acquiring a custom flag - either printed or handmade (more expensive).

I do believe there are people who make recreations of regimental colours, although I would suggest that the camp flag might be more apropriate and readily available. I did a little look on ebay and seen these
A Household Division flag

A more expensive Grenadier Guards standard based on the camp flag

Was your partner in the brigade Parachute Company because that standard is also available?

Hope this is helpful :)
