Standard of No 75 Squadron, Royal New Zealand Air Force.
The Border is decorated with Fern leaves, a floral emblem of New Zealand. The Squadron Badge approved i April 1943 shows a Tiki in front of two mining hammers in saltire. The Motto in Maori read as Ake, ake, kia kaha = For ever and ever be strong. The Tiki is a Maori lucky neck ornament, the hammers are taken from the Arms of New Zealand both showing the NZ connection. The Squadron beeing formed as a Royal Air Force unit with NZ personnel, it later transfered to RZNAF control.
